Walks in the vineyard

BETWEEN PERFUMES, SILENCES AND CURIOSITIES

At “Il Querciolo”, for some time now, we have been organizing at least one walk a week in the vineyards, lasting about two hours, passing through the property's land.

Cesare accompanies the guests along the way and explains, especially to the children, how to take care of the vines so that they can give the best grapes year by year. Through the fields you can smell the scents of the earth, the silences of the countryside or the songs of the birds and you can perceive the calm rhythm of nature.

Tastings

TASTE OF LOCAL SPECIALTIES

Upon request, for guests or even for external groups, it is possible to organize tastings of syrah and oil, accompanied by cold cuts platters, bruschetta or other seasonal specialities.

The tasting includes a visit to our small cellar to explain the winemaking process, show the equipment used and the area where barriques are aging, which is located, underground, in the dark and always at a controlled temperature.

Then, depending on the period, we can taste the wines outside, under the terrace or in the tasting room. The duration of the visit with tasting is normally about two hours.

Pizza Party

LET'S LEARN HOW TO MAKE REAL ITALIAN PIZZA

Annagiulia and Luciano created the “pizza party” years ago, a wonderful moment to show all those who want to attend how to make real Italian pizza.

On this event, guests will not only have to roll out the base of the pizza and fill it but put it and cook in a wood oven. The dinner ends with a taste of typical desserts, cantucci with Vinsanto Toscano, produced by Cesare, only for friends.

The pizza evening does not have a fixed day in the week and is held with a minimum number of at least 15 participants.

Horse riding

WALKS AND LESSONS A FEW STEPS AWAY

Thanks to an agreement with “La Fogliarina” Equestrian Association, ten-minute drive from “Il Querciolo”, guests can book individual or group horse rides, private lessons during the holiday period, in Italian or in English language.

The reservation must be made at least one day before and the payment of the services is made directly to the association, enjoying preferential prices as guests of “Il Querciolo”.

Rides on e-bike

LET'S EXPLORE THE TUSCAN HILLS BY BICYCLE

Thanks to an agreement with the "PACINI FREDY" rental center, a five-minute drive from “il Querciolo”, it is possible for guests to rent Mountain-bikes or E-Bikes for daily or weekly use, for individual or group rides.

The reservation must be made at least one day before use directly to "PACINI FREDY". The contract and payment for the services will be made directly at collection of the bicycle.

Visit to the SPA

MOMENTS OF RELAXATION AND WELLNESS

Being just a few kilometres from Rapolano, a well-known town for baths in the province of Siena, guests can organize a visit to the spa and enjoy all the services they offer.

If they want to try something different, they can organize a day at the “Bagni San Filippo” natural area, enjoying the natural pools with hot water flowing through the woods

Marciano della Chiana “real and virtual”

THE BATTLE OF SCANNAGALLO TODAY

Multi-sensory installation on the Battle of Scannagallo, near Marciano. - The installation combines a video made with 360° immersive technology with sensory interfaces that allow you to reproduce tactile sensations. For general information you can ask at the Agriturismo.

It will also be possible to visit the splendid sixteenth-century fortification with the collection of Renaissance weapons and clothes curated by the Cultural Association “Scannagallo”.

VALDICHIANA BETWEEN HISTORY AND TRADITION

“Il Querciolo” is in the centre of the Valdichiana, a valley rich in history, tradition and culture, where you can have unforgettable food and wine experiences.

Having the Monte San Savino exit of the A1 motorway just 2 km away, this makes its position strategic for planning day visits to the most important centres of Tuscany.

Arezzo and Cortona are about 20km away and can be reached in half an hour by car. Siena, Perugia, and Florence can be reached in about an hour by car.
